Grissom Food Pantry

GRISSOM FOOD/CLOTHING PANTRY INFO

Grissom's Food and Clothing Pantry has assisted 150 families since opening in September 2009. We would like to thank all of our many volunteers for making this possible. Grissom's food/clothing pantry does save Martin's Spartan labels. The proceeds are used to purchase groceries for needy Grissom families. Just cut out the "Spartan" UPC symbol and send it to Mrs. Mayer at Grissom.

Mark your calendar! Grissom's food/clothing pantry will be open after school (from 4:00-5:00) on the first  and third Thursday of each month when school is in session.  If your family needs supplies when we aren't open, you may consider visiting the North Central Indiana Food Bank at 702 Chapin St. 232-9986. Additionally, the Penn Township Food Pantry is located at 315 LincolnwayWest. Their phone number is 220-6213.

There are many ways to volunteer at Grissom's Food and Clothing pantry. Perhaps you know of an organization willing to "adopt" our pantry for a month – maybe a girl scout troop, boy scout troop, 4-H Junior Leader, or Honor Society member. Is your church or youth group would be willing to collect food for our pantry?  Maybe you can come in for an hour or so to help sort food or clothing. Perhaps you can make punch or cookies for a parent night. Any time or talent you have will be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Luann Mayer at Grissom if you or your organization is able to help out by donating time, products, or as a speaker for a Grissom Parent Academy night. There is a volunter form at the link below.
