For the 12th consecutive year, Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation was named among the 2025’s Best Communities for Music Education (​BCME) in the country by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation! P-H-M has received this recognition more than any other school district in Indiana!

Grissom Middle School has a rich tradition of enabling our students to excel in the musical arts. Below you will find brief descriptions of our programs as well as contact information if you would like more information.

Band 

The Discovery Band Program is 270 students strong and encompasses three concert ensembles, two extracurricular jazz bands, basketball pep band, and active solo and ensemble participation.
